The meeting of human with wool and the story of wool goes back long time before recorded history.
The use of wool begins by the hunter-gatherer societies with hunting the wild sheep for food and use their woolly skins.
Over time, human who used sheepskins discovered that wool offered them what no other material could. Wool protected them from heat and cold, wind and rain; at the same time it kept their body cool in the heat of the day and warm in the cold. Also it was able to absorb moisture when it got wet. Over time, sheep began to be cared for both for their milk and for their valuable wool.
This perfect shepherd animal became the second pet after the dog to be domesticated. The sheep, human and nature was reflected to art as a symbolic image of harmony in life .
